Arrival

The mothership has landed, and my first impression of Brighton is... Wet. And run-down. Still, it seems like a very nice city.

I've arrived at my homestay-home-away-from-home and have even finished unpacking (took me like, three minutes, probably less). I've only met one of the three residents of the house so far, but Paul seems like a nice chap. His wife and daughter are apparently away at Paralympics and won't be home until later. That's... good for them? Good for me? Is it even good for anyone?

Ahem.

Anyway, my room seems quite nice (the carpet's a dark orange - I approve), and I have quite the view, considering that we're up on a hill.

Or, well, I would have had quite the view if everything hadn't been white from the rain.

Pictures of the room (and the view. And possibly the rest of the house) will be up later, probably, if I can get around to actually taking them.
