Pictures!

Today's been quite an interesting day. We got a short tour of Brighton, and I took a truckload of pictures. This is so going to be a picture spam post.

This picture has nothing to do with today; it's the night view from my bedroom window.

As is this, though this is in the other direction, so to speak.

We met up at a café today, and they had a small wall where you could scribble things. I felt a bit romantic, hence the scribble.

I also had to tell people of my presence. Obviously.

This is Brighton Dome, which is their large concert hall. Patti Smith will be playing there later on.

This was right next to the Dome. I have no idea what it is, but I took a picture of it anyway. Woohoo.

This is either connected to Brighton Dome or to a museum. I can't remember which.

These things pop up around town. They don't all have butterflies on them, but most of them seem to be painted in one way or another.

I'm such a tourist. Let's take all of the pictures!

I have no idea what this is. But hey, picture!

And here's that place from the side. Yay.

This is George IV, the Prince Regent, an important person in Brighton's history. He built the royal pavilion and is partly responsible for making Brighton what it is today.

Some flowers, since I am using mum's camera, after all.

The pavilion gardens, and a part of the pavilion itself.

More roof.

A musician. As I played the part of tourist today, I had to take a picture of him. Obviously.

The Royal Pavilion. Quite a fancy place.

Pavilion.

A blue house in the middle of all the other houses (hice).

A pretty clock-tower.

Here's its door. It was quite fancy.

One of the many narrow lanes in North Laine, one of the districts of the town.

Another pretty house.

Here's another one of those painted things.

It looks like the world ends just beyond this street, but it's really just the ocean. So basically the world does end over there.

More end of the world.

Even more of it. It's quite beautiful, isn't it?

Ocean!

The beach.

Here we are on our way down to the beach.

More beach (and a bird).

A pretty light post.

Sea-gulls!

The ocean.

Matilda, looking her most charming for the picture.

The pier, where they seem to have some sort of amusement park. We're going to go there some other day and ride some roller coaster, yeah.

Beach and ocean. Oh yeah.

The beach is full of tiny parts of old sea-shells.

Matilda picked one up, too!

Of course I had to do better than her.

The ocean. It's quite vast, isn't it?

Some of the houses (hice) by the shore.

Sand is for weaklings. This beach is made out of large stones and old sea-shells.

Water, I tell you.

Matilda going down to dip her feet into the ocean.

Almost there.

She was only there for a second or so, but it's still longer than me (I didn't dip my feet at all).

Some more beach, this time with feet.

Some birds. (obviously)

Even more birds.

Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant.

Some guy who made origami animals.

And here's the pavilion again.

More pavilion.

A sign at the pavilion. Did I mentioned that I was a tourist today?

That museum-thingie I mentioned earlier.

The pavilion along with some trees.

Guess what? The pavilion!

I think this is just some kind of entrance thing. It was very pretty.

Here it is again!

Here's Brighton Dome again.

We found this standing by a litter box.

And here is my collection of stones that I brought home with me from the beach. Fun times.
