Two of my books have arrived! Thankfully, the one I need for monday's class was one of the ones that arrived, so that's good.
Since we had no classes today, me and Matilda went down to town to explore a bit, and then ended up at the beach. Fun times.
And now for some picture spam!
A narrow street we saw today:
I want.
I mean, honestly.
Here's some sea.
Beach, ocean, the pier, and possibly a dead guy.
We brought some snacks.
An adorable dog who was too afraid to go into the water (quite a sensible dog - those waves were high)
Feet in the stones.
Some waves.
Some more waves.
Even more waves.
All of the waves!
Very colourful houses (hice, damnit!)
The other side of the same street.
A purple house. I want this purple house.

The verdict.
So today I had my two first real classes here in Brighton, and in all honesty, I'm not that impressed.
First up was Literature, and it was a fun class. The teacher seem a bit douche-y, but he at least seemed to know what he was doing. We read and analyzed some Macbeth, and that was about it.
The second class, the Linguistic survey, was quite frankly a disappointment. The teacher didn't seem to know what she was talking about, didn't seem to know that all of us had to have gone at least one term at university before (since we are the B level, after all. You can't apply to the B-level unless you've done the A-level; it's simple logic) and to be honest she seemed to think she was teaching a pre-school class or something. So yeah. I'm a bit disappointed in the class, but thankfully the course material is interesting so I'll at least have something to read.
As for the rest of the people in my class, they seem a nice bunch.

School
Classes start for real today. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited. The first class is Literary survey 1, and the second one is Linguistic survey: Modern variation 1. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

Time for another picture spam post! This one won't have nearly as many pictures, though. It's only a few pictures of the university.
Why not a stone sign?
We're approaching the universe.
We're on campus!
Matilda, and the library in the background.
A map of the place (it's quite huge)
The entrance to the library.
Outside the library
And here's some cheap pencils I bought today (only 99p for the entire pack).
This is where we spent our time.

Whoops
It's no wonder I've been tired; I've managed to go and get myself sun-burnt. Curse you, fat ball of burning gas!
